Looking out for Scotland's birds of prey

Hares and rabbits staked to the ground on a grouse moor.

These hares and rabbit were discovered on a grouse moor where they had been staked to the ground. This is a method that can be used to attract birds of prey to a location and normally, after several days, somebody will hide in wait and shoot the birds coming into feed. They may even change the food over for bait which has been laced with poison.
